Mystery of the house- Chapter 2

Mr. Sherman is missing and his best friend Dr. Fudge is the only reliable source of his whereabouts.
Mr.Brown was a meddlesome man yet his intervening in others life helped Detective Bowman investigate the case of Mr. Sherman.
As soon as Detective Bowman realized the significance of Dr. Fudge in Mr. Sherman's life, he immediately started his search. But all his efforts were in vain. Dr. Fudge had been missing too!
His absence was so common that no one found it intriguing. Dr. Fudge usually went out with his wife Joan and always forgot to inform his assistant or anyone other than Mr Sherman. This time his wife was out of city for work. This made his absence prominent.
Now this case was a puzzle with all its pieces missing. The task was to find them and arrange them in such a way that it disclosed the mystery.
'' Dr. Fudge was a very peculiar man, to be honest. He didn't have many friends. His existence was bit of a question mark for us.'' Squealed Miss Taylor, Dr. Fudge's absent-minded assistant, who had jumped as she saw Detective Bowman.
''Why would you think so miss? '' beseeched detective for an answer.
''We never actually saw or heard about or from his family. He doesn't get many personal messages. Just one person '' scratching her chin and narrowing her eyes as she tried to recall she squeaked,'' Mr. Sherman!''
''Was Mr. Sherman the only person who talked to him? '' Detective demanded.
''Well, according to my knowledge, yes. He was 'kinda' his best friend. ''
      ''Kinda?!''
''Mr Sherman was the only person who came to meet him. But his visits were queer.''
''Queer? ''
''Every week he came twice as a patient and thrice as his partner. I always wondered why but never really got the courage to ask any of them. '' She shrugged apologetically.
Hmm.....This was the first missing piece.

Mystery of the house-Chapter 1

''Mr. Sherman and Dr. Fudge were best of friends. Maybe Dr. Fudge could provide you with more information. '' said Mr. Brown, Mr. Sherman's obnoxious neighbor. He was a stout little man with a chiseled face who was an ''I-am-not-interested-pretending '' person. He used to intervene in everything around him yet he said, ''I don't wanna get into all this.''
Mr. Sherman had been missing for over two weeks now. He was a realtor. He had to go out of the city all the time but this time his firm confirmed that he wasn't out on business. His absence was noted by Mrs. Doug, his secretary. Mr. Sherman was a work-loving person and had never missed a single day of work.
His absence was quite surprising to all his colleagues.
As soon as Mrs. Doug realized that it had been a week since her boss' disappearance, she contacted Detective Bowman.
